an hour of craft
I came across a post the other day that I've annoyingly lost about dedicating an hour each day to craft.
They were talking about how LLMs have changed the game of software engineering; people aren't writing code by hand anymore, which leads to skill rot. So, spend an hour each day writing code by hand.
I think take it further. Spend an hour each (working) day focused on craft - Whether it's refining your craft of creating code, or design, or marketing, or sales, or knitting. Anything.
Don't let craft die. Do more craft.
