half anonymity
I decided to remove the link from my personal site to here today.
I like it being my half anonymous corner of the world. Yes, I have links from here to my site, but they are harder to go in reverse.
If somebody lands on my site, they don't end up here. So, if I look for a job and they check it out - they don't look at my diary entries and get the wrong view of me. I like using them as a place to vent, and just be. I don't want them to be held up against me.
It's kind of a shame. I like having them with my other posts, which I do think look better, but biases can hurt you when looking for roles. And, you should set yourself up for success.
