- not made up hypotheticals that nobody uses
- seeing the impact of them being solved
- ideally solving for other engineers
- trying to innovate
- building stupid things
- tinkering
- solving as a team to bounce ideas around and challenge
- exercise
- social exercise w/ friends, like rock climbing
- music
- I know what music hits the spot for me, let me blast it (ideally out loud)

- fiction
- startups, engineering, product - technical reads
- learning new, often random, things
- working with friends
- like-minded people that challenge me
- contributing to something that matters
- contributing to a mission I can get behind

- open source usually comes in here
